Call for Student Volunteers

We are looking for students motivated to help make SPLC 2024 a pleasant experience for the attendees. Student volunteers’ role is to help with the organization of SPLC 2024, from registration to in-room support.  Applications are available to Master and PhD students from any country who have excellent communication skills in English, are technically skilled, and are ethical, reliable, punctual, organised and proactive.

Responsibilities

Approximately 15 hours of in-person work during the in-person conference week (i.e., from September 2 to September 6):

  • Registration duties (e.g., setting up, preparing conference bags, and helping attendees register).
  • Technical assistance to speakers and attendees.
  • Providing directions when moving to social events.
  • Checking badges at various halls, including dining halls.
  • Other similar tasks.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled as a doctoral, master’s student by the start of SPLC 2024.
  • Proficient in English and have good social and communication skills.
  • Availability from September 02 — September 06, 2024 (inclusive). You may specify if you are unavailable on any of the pre- and/or post-conference program days. We can consider this information during selection.

  2. Provide the name of your Master/PhD supervisor
  3. Selection will be made on a first come, first serve basis.
